Michael Church reports on the first round’s play and a looming Mother/Daughter battle

Ladies Club Championships – Round One

Joyce Agius has upstaged her daughter Vanessa to hold a one shot lead after Round One.

Kaitlyn Adam is a further three shots behind with the defending champion a further four strokes back with some work ahead.

A pleasant surprise to see Vanessa in the draw after getting the OK from school.

Glenis Church leads B Grade by two shots from Jan Boulton with Joy Ryan, Bev Leyden and Bernadette Anderson all a further shot behind.

Jo Doherty is a two shot leader over Yvonne Backerra in C Grade with four players within a further three shots.

Round Two will be played next Thursday with Finals on December 1/ 2 weekend.
